Acer Aspire M100 desktop computer device driver not installed

My Acer Aspire M1100 would not boot and had no signal to the monitor. I thought the video card or motherboard had gone bad. I tinkered with it for over 2 years (yes I'm hardheaded) and finally realized the processor had worked itself loose. Reseated the processor and it works fine again. Hope this helps someone.

The AHCI can be enabled from using the correct driver but you should have enabled it PRIOR to the OS install

Acer did not always do this but often relied on compatibility mode

The speed increase is often not that much.

The BIOS on that board can be updated but you may find that AHCI still does not work as you expect.

Unfortunately Acer no longer has recovery media available for this model Aspire. However they still have the drivers available for download so, the easiest way to get this machine as close to it's original condition as possible is as follows;

First and formost: Make backup copies of all file, pictures, music, videos, etc. that you need to keep.

Next: Download the drivers for this system by going to www..acer.com. Once you're there, select USA and click on the Service & Support Tab and click on the driver download link.

Then, make the selections for you computer i.e.; desktop, aspire, m1100, and windows operating system.

Now download all of the drivers you need for your computer and put all of these drivers on a cd, dvd, or flashdrive for later use.

Re-install Windows and allow the installation process to re-format the hard drive during the installation.

Finally, re-install any programs and data that you have and install the drivers.

Take your time and it should all fall into place. It should all take you a good half a day or less. Good Luck!

ibm model 8187 sound driver

It is actually pretty simple, just remove either screws or fasteners holding the case on. On that model it may even just be the side panel, which would be 2 screws/fasteners. HERE U CAN DOWNLOAD DRIVERS..

Got the same model. Had the same problem.
Play with the memory sticks.
Remove all but one.
Swap out memory for different memory.
Worked for me.

I think the virus was not yet deleted in your system and the virus are blocking some of the drivers in your computer, format your computer in normal way. And try re-installing it.
