My whirlpool GU1500 dishwasher is not cleaning properly, it runs through the completee cycle but does not clean anything. We just had the pump replaced and still no clean dishes. How can I check to see if the motor blades are turning? Could the motor be bad?

- The motor sounds like it is running, but there is a slight buzzing sound now that I have taken off the bottom panel. All in all it still sounds the same as it always has. Could the motor be stuck, or can the motor still make noise and be bad? Don't really trust my repair guy as he just opened the door and said the water level is fine so your motor must be bad buy a new dishwasher. How can I check myself to see if it is stuck, I've heard that is a common problem?

Kerriann,

Did you get your Whirlpool dishwasher working. Mine quit cleaning so I took the lower spinner out, pulled the motor and pump assembly (very easy to do) then cleaned out the strainer which was full of glass and debris not allowing the water to recirculate. Works like new now. Cost....$0.00. Clean dishes...priceless.

Is The Motor Running During The Wash? If not you have a bad motor.
