After aquiring the fridge with a house I found that the freezer would not make ice at all. Seeing as it was turned to the coldest setting I turned it down and let it thaw for a couple days. ALAS! the broken ice maker really does make ice. It was music to my ears.
However, when I press the dispensing lever I can hear the "CA CHUNK CA CHUNK" of ice being dispensed, but the ice does not make it's way passed the Temperature barrier and remains in the door. I'm not sure what I am missing here, but it seems that if I press the lever it should lift the Temperature barrier some how.
Any help would be aprreciated.
Are you still making ice in the icemaker?? if so then you most likely have a bad water inlet valve (back of unit right side behind the panel) The crappy thing is the icemaker and the water are on what is called a dual valve you have to replace the whole thing.. to test this you will need to sw the wires if you want to get into this let me know

The ice maker still makes ice, and I can get water out of the door. When I push the despensing lever the ice goes into the door, but the temperature barrier does not lift, so the ice will just back up into the door.
I'm not sure if their is a mechanism that lifts this temperature barrier (I.E a Solenoid) that can be replaced. The Ice maker works like a charm, and it is just a minor inconvenience to open up the freezer and reach into ice drawer to get ice.
