I have same model FUJI FP-7688B . Exact same problem. Unit is 2.5 years old. Rebooted many times , no success . Plugged LCD into another computer , no success. I called manufacturer ( under 3 yr warranty) and they are taking me down a long , tedious ,paper -filled pathway. Very disappointed in their response. I expected a quick " customer is always right attitude " . I am not hardware /software savvy -just want functionality. Customer service saying 2 weeks to get back a repair -- unacceptable. The MMITEK INc Co of Calif just hung up on me when I was in the middle of conversation.

The problems with your FP-7688B is the inverter, it's burnt out. You can fix it yourself by replaced the caps. or I can fix it for you for low price. repair@3rd-rocks.com
