Bad capacitors that chassis is famous for numerous capacitors failing without notice.Every circuit board within the entire chasis will have numerous capacitors that will be swelled up and leaking which will require that they be replaced. You can get the repair kits for the V26 Chasis at www.tvrepairworld.com which contain instructions on the CDs along with the replacement parts.

IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

WD-65734 Mitsubishi TV won't turn on. System reset does nothing. Fuse OK.

Does the front light blink a pattern. If so this may be used to lookup the error codes.

WD-65734 Mitsubishi TV won't turn on. System reset

Are there any lights lit on the front of the TV? Have you checked for a bad lamp? When you reset the TV the timer/power light should flash on and off rapidly for 60-70 sseconds. Does that happen?

Timer light flashes tv won`t turn on. mitsubishi model #55859

You have a bad DM board - the capacitors are bad and need to be replaced. I was able to replace them myself. There are no replacement parts available and many repairmen will charge hundreds of dollars and there is no guarantee they will fix it.
