Re: configure cisco aironet wifi

If ur using IOS autonomous AP, then u'll need to configure the bvi interface to get an ip address and then enable the interface. once it has an ip, u'll need to configure the ssid, vlan, etc - choices include doing so with the CLI or web page GUI. U'll need to enable the built-in web server then u can access it via the web interface to setup the ssid, any vlans, radius, etc. good luck.

Can get router to work

The Cisco Aironet 1200 access point provides secure wireless connection to your network. Cisco's wireless access design meet the needs of a small to medium size business.

This unit provides secure network access for laptops or Wi-Fi capable portable devices, which you upgrade at any time as your business grows.

A beneficial feature of the Cisco Aironet 1200 is its ability for the administrator to reset the access point remotely.

This resetting process works through your internet browser.
Log on to the System Configuration page by entering your Cisco Airnet 1200 IP address in your browsers web address text box.

Enter your user and password information from the pop up menu.
Click on the "Setup" button from the summary status page.

Select the "Cisco Services" setup option and click on "Manage System Configuration."
Click on "Reset All System Factory Defaults" to reset the router.

The Cisco Aironet 1200 will be restored to factory defaults. Aironet 1200 Series

How to configure cisco aironet 1131 and how to find the getaway for this router ?

Have you read the quick start and installation guides?
Yes, the AP should be able to obtain an IP address via DHCP from your
Netopia router.
If this device is used, it may not be setup to aquire things via DHCP,
and you'll probably have to hookup over a console port and do password
Cisco's aren't the easiest things to setup, they are more akin to a
box of tools, rather than a single purpose built item, and thus can
do quitealot, but you have to learn how to use the tool first. It will
then let you setup things quite advanced that the single-purpose built
item never imagined, but you have to know how to get there first, not
coast and do the advanced stuff later.

My Cisco aironet 1141N-ke9 showing red blinking continuously and stuck in that .Now only access via console. Can any one solve it

Sounds like the network connection to the AP is shot. Try a different cable, different port on the switch, or repower the device.

How to use hyperterminal

Run HyperTerminal in Windows by going to Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications > HyperTerminal.
After clicking on the HyperTerminal icon, you will see this window:
HyperTerminal prompts you to create a new connection. Note that this is not required but let’s go ahead and do it.

Type in the word cisco for the connection name and click OK.
Connect your Cisco device to your PC’s COM1 port but don’t turn it on yet. On the next window that appears, make sure that the “Connect Using” field says COM1 and click OK.
On the next window, change the Baud rate to 9600 and click OK.
Now, turn on your Cisco device. In the HyperTerminal window, you should see the boot up process for your device, like this:
//'); //]]> document.write(''); CollectiveMedia.createAndAttachAd("ns-74737014_1271195234",";net=ns;u=,ns-74737014_1271195234,11286e7f1d8af7d,ce_mobile_blackberry,;;kw=;tile=2;ord1=504214;sz=300x250,336x280;ppos=BTF;contx=ce_mobile_blackberry;btg=;ord=3760843785557546?","300","250,336",false); archive;ppos=btf;kw=;tile=2;sz=300x250,336x280;ord=123456789??\ You have successfully configured HyperTerminal and connected to your Cisco device.
When you are done and try to close out HyperTerminal, you will be asked if you want to save this connection. I suggest saving it with the name you gave it, cisco, so that you don’t have to configure it again next time.

If nothing else has changed with the configuration, then I suspect that you are experiencing high levels of interference. Try changing the channel on both bridges.
