Toshiba SD420e player won't play -drawer keeps...

I put the dvd in the drawer and close, then press play and the drawer just ejects. It used to do this 3 or 4 times and then finally play the dvd but not it just keeps ejecting the drawer.

Any ideas please?

I took the top off, laser was ok, there was a problem with the ratchet mechanism that lifted the spindle that spins the disk after the tray has closed, it was fully lifting it so wasn't connecting with the disk hence the disk wasn't spinning. Somehow the top holding bracket had been knocked and was out of skew, I took the whole thing apart and rebuilt it. It seems ok now.
