If it is running all the time, then you have a bad switch and will have to be replaced.

My Bissell ProHeat is not shooting out water and the brush is not spinning. The handle cleaner worked just fine. I have only used this 3 times.

I had same problem with a brand new one. I took it in and got it fixed. I used it once and then it started doing the same thing. The concept is a good one but if the machines keep doing the same thing it's not worth the headaches. I took it back and bought a different brand although you'd think that Bissell would stand behind their products but when I went in with it I was given quite a hard time. Salesman saying it was because I didn't know how to run it. And I'm over 60.

Eureka powerline umc-18 vacuum quit working

The Motor has locked up due to over heating. Once that happens the only way to go is either replace the motor drive or get a new cleaner. Do not try and keep energizing the Vacuum as you could blow circuit-breakers or start an electrical fire.

My central vaccum just stop working last night. It does not turn on at all.

I've gone through 3 vx475 vac in the past 7 yrs. Last one was sent to me in Apr 2010. Just yesterday, once again, my vac just quit. Green power light is on but no other sign of anything. Had a burning smell when vac quit, like motor just fried. Called Nutone again and they can't imagine whats going on but will send out another vac free and was told to throw out old one. They said dust may get into the motor and cause it to quit. These vacs aren't cheap, can't imagine that its so simple to just call up and have a brand new one sent to me. I've asked if they are rebuilt units and was told no. So my advise to you, if you haven't already, is to simply call them up w/model and serial # and they shouldn't give you any prob. good luck.

The red light on my electrolux vacuum comes on and cuts power.

If the bag full light keeps coming on, you can first try adjusting the dial on top of the vacuum cleaner. If that does not work, then you need to change the control valve. This is an internal component of the canister and is directly below the dial. You will need to follow the instructions on a previous post to open the Electrolux plastic canister vacuum, and remove the bage cage. Once you remove the bage cage you can change the control valve, and this will solve your problem with the bag full indicator.

If it just quit running, it could be the cord. If you have a meter, you can check it to make sure it isn't broke. Take out the 4 I think, screw from the bottom, the top half should come off, then you get to the switch and the end of the cord. Check the motor brushes also, if they are worn down, they may not be conducting and the motor won't run. It gets involved, so don't know if you want to do this at home.

Filterqueen cuts out when warm

You should check the disc filter that is located under the paper cone support. The support is secured with a single screw in the middle at the bottom. This filter is commonly overlooked and when it gets dirty will restrict airflow and cause the motor to overheat. Most motors have a Hi-Limit switch incorporated into the motor to protect against overheating. You should also check the top filter (which is probably foam) and replace if it is clogged.
