My 2001 chevy silverado 2500HD 8.1overheated and went into safe mode, how do I reset the codes?

The best way is with a scan tool, but you can disconnect the negative battery cable For a few minutes ! Do you have a check engine light on ? Even if you clear the codes the light will come back on if there is still a problem !

Battery keeps going dead

test battery for dead cell, even new batteries are bad sometimes.if u don't have a load tester take to autoparts store they will check for u. with car running test voltage from alternator should be 13 or more volts . next test starter solenoid if stuck she will drain overnight.

Wont turn over intermittent. new battery, new starter relay, lights and gauges always ok. Sometimes starts first try, sometimes many tries.

Check battery to body and battery to motor ground bolts for corrosion. Also check motor to frame ground strap for corossion. Bad ground can cause all kinds of electrical problems.

2000 chevy silverado 1500 battery light keeps coming on then going off.The voltage meter on the dash will flutter also. This has been going on for awhile now until the other day it came on and stayed on...

When was the alternator replaced? was it a remanufactured alternator? This is common on GM trucks, fluctuating voltage is caused by a faulty alternator voltage regulator. Have the alternator tested, strong possiblityits defective!!Hopefully this helps!!

2001 Chevy 2500hd bright lights won't come in. The dims work.

Try turning on the high beams and see if there is power to the socket where the bulbs plug in. Low beams are one connector and the high should be another. Just go from socket to ground with test light or meter.
