Tank indicator did not show cyan tank low/empty, after changing tank, still no blue color

Yesterday, I noticed there was no blue color in my printouts. Today I checked the tank and it was empty. There was no indicator to show this. I changed the tank anyway (I never refill tanks; it was a new one) and there is still no blue color.

Also, when I tried printing greyscale, there were verticle white lines through the picture. This is for a non-profit organization, so I need this fixed!

1) Make sure the tape was removed from the cartridge when installing the new one.

2) Try running a few cleaning cycles as this primes the cartridge.

3) DO not print without ink as it may damagew the head.

Why won't my hp photosmart 5510 d print black unless there is color on the page.

When printing a color image, black is usually made by combining the other three colors (cyan/magenta/blue). Check the black ink tank, replace it if empty, try a cleaning cycle if not empty.

It may be possible that the printhead is defective. You may call Lexmark Technical Support at 1-800-539-6275 for assistance. Kyocera FS-C5030N Led Printer My printer ran out of the blue (cyan) toner so I replaced the cartage carefully following are the cleaning steps like I've done successfully before with the other colors....

You need to reset the toner counter. This is done through the Menu button and selecting Life Counters. The instructions on how to do this are found in the Advanced Operators Guide on page 2-75. The link below will take you to the manufacture's website where you can download it.
http://usa.kyoceramita.com/americas/jsp/Kyocera/resource_details.jsp?pid=14192&rid=14764

Resetting the Toner Counter

The toner containers must be replaced when the printer displays the Low toner or Replace toner message which will be given depending on the color of toner. The Low toner message will be shown as a pre-warning that the toner is running out and the printer will soon stop, at that time showing Replace toner. If you replace the toner container before Replace toner is displayed, you must manually reset the toner counter as explained below. Note that if you reset the toner counter before the toner container is replaced, the subsequent toner warnings will not be indicated correctly.

I hope this is helpful,

Shawn

I changed all Print cartridges-Black, Yellow,Cyan,Blue

On this machine you have to install inks with power on and use the ink button and choose replace ink. If you just plug them in it won't register and reset the counts. You may need to run clean cycles at least twice to get proper colors.

Low Fuel Panel Indicator On

I know if your gas cap is leaking the low fuel light will come on but I never heard of the gas guage showing empty unless you have a float problem. The float is in the tank.

Despite installing new cartridges, cleaning and priming, my HP Deskjet 710C prints pink only. Using Windows XP test page shows no blue, or yellow.

hi,
do you installing both cartridges (black and colour)?
if you do so, my advice is to reinstall the driver for your printer.

if you install ONLY the black cartridge, and the color cartridge remain the old one, (which in my opinion is the present case), your problem is from the color cartridge.
The color cartridge have 3 colors and this are: cyan (some kind of blue), yellow and magenta (similar with a pink color, but more intense). The problem is simple: in your color cartridge has left only the magenta color, cyan and yellow tanks are empty.

have 2 options:
1. buy a new color cartridge
2. refill the color cartridge.

BROTHER MFC 240C - REPLACED BLACK INK. LCD PROMPTED ME TO PICK # 1 FOR NEW AND #2 IF NOT. I SELECTED #1. NOW THE LCD SHOWS 'INK EMPTY CYAN' 'REPLACE INK' 'NO CARTRIDGE' OR REINSERT CARTRIDGE. THIS ISN'T...

you have to change the cyan (blue) color, too. Its empty ;-)

The machine runs a cleaning circle which always consumes some amount of ink of ALL colors.

Problem with color quality - Canon PIXMA iP4000

i had this problem... its the ink! Check you are using magenta and NOT "photo magenta", and also that you are using "cyan" and NOT "PHOTO cyan"... basically photo cyan, photo magenta and photo yellow are not designed for the ip4000, if you check the smallprint on the box it does not list the ip4000.

This exact problem happened to me and it was driving me crazy. I think the "photo" versions of the inks are for printers that take two tanks of each colour, and the photo version is used for very subtle colours... so if you are ONLY using these inks, photos will appear washed out, yellow etc
