I have a Sony RDR-VX530 in combination with my Toshiba 26AV502R digital TV receiving signals from an outdoor antenna. Since the TV digital conversion, the Sony will no longer read the TV stations I receive for recording. Specifically, stations like 4-1 and 6-1. I can play DVD and videos on the Toshiba. I do not have a digital/analogue converter. How can I get the Sony to read the channels so I can record TV programs.

- You have recommended a digital / analogue converter. Thank you. Currently the antenna is connected to the Sony and from there to the Toshiba TV. Will adding the converter in front of the Sony have an effect on the digital LCD TV?

- It was quite helpful. I still need some further information about the solution.
I think you answered your own question. You need a digital / analog converter box to decode the new signals. After that's in place you'll be able to record just like before.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

- NO, it won't change anything, it just converts the signal..into a version that your equipment will understand. :)

Every movie I have tried to record from VHS to DVD on my recorder cuts itself off before the movie is done. The pic looks great when playing it back but it never gets the full movie. I set the tape setting in the menu to the highest (180) to try to fit it on, I picked a movie (104) that was shorter then the 120 the dvd states it holds but I have wasted 6 blank dvds now trying to get a full movie recorded.
