Error problem on Canon BJC-80

My Canon BJC-80 Colour Bubble Jet Printer error light flashes and buzzes 5 times when switched on. Then nothing responds, not even when the Cartridge button is pressed. Any idea of the solution, please? Chris Southall

Where do you add the paper on a canon bjc-8o/color bubble jet printer ?

Hello,

Could not find info on a BJC-80 but did find a BJC-85. Since they are similiar you can go to:

http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900007433/BJC-85_Setup.pdf

This is a setup guide. Go to step 5 which explains paper input and orientation.

OK, I did find a user guide for the BJC-80. here is a link:

http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900007420/BJC80_user_manual.pdf

Go to Chapter 3 for info on "Paper Handling".

Thanks for using Fixya.

Head replacement

Look on EBAY just type in Canon BJC Printers look for cartridges etc (same head/cartridge for 70/80/85)

Colour is BC11 or BC11e Black is BC10

Supplemental Q are you sure the head needs replacing take it out ; take out cartriges put it in a shallow dish then pour in Very hot water only a small amount lece for a couple of minutes then remove and allow to dry; may sound drastic but 2 things apply if it is naff anyway no problem you are getting a new one but it also may just be blocked
