In my 1998 ford mustang My fuse that controls my turn signals, my back up lights, and rear defrost keeps breaking whenever i put my car into reverse. i already checked the back up lights for a short but found nothing. Does anyone know if i have a transmission control switch and where it is?

Are the rear bulbs OK? Is the ground good at the rear?are the sockets good? Are there tail lights and a license plate light?then the ground is OK. All the things that you say do not work go through the signal light switch....it may need replacing. First make sure the bulbs and fuses are OK and power is getting to the signal light switch and to the brake light switch. Nice car!
the switch is protected by a fuse and it activates the relay which handles the high current needed to operaate the back window. You should have a light that comes on when the switch is turned on.
i would say try to replace the relay,(it should be in the fuse box) for the signals. if it's not that it could be the brain it's located in the colum of the steering unit.
