Question about Toshiba Satellite M35X-S149 Notebook
My M35X is 3 years old and has worked fine up until now. While I was
browsing, my screen suddenly went black. I shut down by holding down
the power button, then removed battery and attempted to reset the
laptop by holding the power button down for 15 seconds. Replaced
battery and powered on again... fan kicks on like the hard drive is
booting up but still no screen.
Could this be as simple as a backlight or is it something more serious, like a video controller? At this point, I just want to recover the files on my hard drive.
What's the easiest way to recover the HD information?
Try to connect to external monitor and see if you see anything. Of course when you do that you have to hold at the same time fn key and the key that has a blue picture of computer screen.
