Computer monitor (by 2 users)

computer monitor comes on for a minute(sign on screen) then immediatly goes out

I have the same problem Post a new problem

Hey guys, im having the same problem. The screen turns on fine for about two seconds, then flashes off and reports no signal. I'm thinking something may need replacing inside, but im not to sure. a lot of other users seem to be having this problem, im using a samsung 19" LCD. It's definitly not the computer or gpu stuffing up, it works fine with another screen

check your monitor cable also check the vga connector, this probly the problem of monitor cable or loose vga connector.

If you are using Onboard vga check your bios settings

If you are using add on vga - check your card and try inserting in another pci slot

if all fail - probbly some hardware problem inside monitor

Cheri,

does the monitor flash off quickly or is it a slow depressing fade and do you hear alot or any static sounds ?
