Re: charge light flashes

Try resetting it a few times when plugged in by pressing the reset button every 5 minutes untill it turns on.

Green light screen wont turn on

Sounds like the battery is dead, have you tried first reseting the device and than charging it?

To reset the device, put the tip of a paper clip into the "Reset" hole in the GPS case. Recharge the unit over night and try to turn it on.

Wont charge or turn on

not sure how long you have had this, but if the unit was completely turned off or battery completely dead, you have to hold the power button for about 15 seconds for the 3000t to start up...assuming the charge light at the top right is orange (that means its charging) no light means its not charging, green light means fully charged. if there is no power light on at the top right of unit, either the charger is bad or the port on the board is bad (which i do have) good luck and hope this helps. bill

Yesterday, when driving, I noticed that the device said i was receiving no signal, even though I was out on the interstate... I got frustrated and turned it off... I figured that it would give it ample...

The green light does not necessarily mean there is power to the unit or charging the battery. If the unit is more than 3-5 years old, you may have success with replacing the battery. If you have a power source with sufficient current output capabilities then you could try that with the battery removed.

Will not take a charge

I have just the same problem. Initially the battery was flashing to say that it was low on charge even when it was plugged in, then it flashed that the battery was empty and switched itself off. When plugged in the green light comes on, but still cannot turn TomTom 710 on. Also it will not connect to the computer.

Unit will not charge, changed battery but still does not work... Help

Sound as though you shorted something on the main board when you installed the new battery. Just sell the unit for parts on Ebay
