Some laptops disable the TouchPad while an other mouse is connected thrugh USB.

Also, please check on your keyboard for a black-mouse-icon-in-a-square on a keyboard button and press FN + that button, you might have accidentally disabled the mouse by pressing that combination in the first place.

You might also have disabled your mouse from your mouse driver software (Synaptics etc).

Good luck and please rate this solution in order to keep the good answers comming !

Drain Pump If lights are flashing on the control panel, the drain pump might not be working properly. For two-wire drain pump motors check them for continuity using an Ohm meter. If it's defective YOU'LL need to replace it. Drain pumps are not repairable.
Heating Element If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element might have burned out. The heating element heats the water up to operating temperature. After a set amount of time if the temperature isn't reached a light on the control panel might start flashing. The heating element can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Heating Element Assembly If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element assembly might have burned out. The heating element assembly heats the water up to operating temperature. If the display works but the dishwasher functions are all out of synch, or some of the buttons don't respond properly the entire touchpad and control panel might need to be replaced
Touchpad If the display lights are flickering for no reason, the touchpad might need to be replaced. Sometimes when the touchpad is defective the display lights are flashing randomly.

Check Fault Codes If the display lights are flashing and there is an error code in the display window, check the Error Codes guide on our website to determine which component has failed or is failing

Touchpad problem

I am going to assume the touchpad doesn't work, since you didn't elaborate much in your description. If it isn't doing anything, you need to reinstall the drivers for the touchpad. If you have an external mouse laying around, use it to go to the acer site and redownload the touchpad software and follow the instructions to install it. The next time you boot your computer, it will work.

My touchpad not working

is their a button above the touchpad? if there is press it, you may have disabled it. if that doesn't work plug in a mouse and go to control panel once booted and verify that the touchpad isn't disabled in device manager.

I Have just got my new Dell xps 15 in mail box. Everything seems to work fine accept the scroller on touch pad. Please help me to solve this problem...the scroller on touchpad is not working at all

If the touchpad is working but the scroller isn't then it sounds like a hardware problem. I would call Dell and try to return it for another one.

Hey..i have a hp probook 4420s. its mouse pad ain't working due to which i have to use an external mouse. please tell me how to fix this problem.

First, make sure your trackpad button is enabled... if that isn't the problem, then go to your device manager and check that there isn't a driver issue, if there is you'll see a little yellow triangle next to the category "Mice and other pointing devices".
If there is an issue, highlight your touchpad, then right click and choose "Uninstall Driver".

After the driver is uninstalled, go to your start menu and shut down the computer, then restart it and the new driver should automatically reload into the system.

If its not a driver issue, then its the touchpad itself and you'll have to contact a technician for repair/replacement.
