Question about Canon ZR800 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Hi, I am a bit slow on the video to mac transfering. I plugged my Canon ZR400 to my macbook through USB and I can't seem to get the tape part to register on my computer. MY computer recognizes the digital card but not the things that are recorded on the video tape. The computer doesn't recognize the camcorder at all when it's on the tape setting. Is there anythign I can do about this? Is my question even clear? Thanks,
When transfering Movies from Canon ZR800 to iMac G5 with firewire and iMovie each individual Picture is scrambled and of no use. Can anybody help Thank you.
If you received an install disc with the camera is it Mac compatible? Mine was not. Windows only. I save the video to a PC in a format that the Mac will recognize i.e: Quicktime, etc.then transfer the data to the Mac on a flash drive.

I believe that camera only works with firewire. You might want to check with Canon to see if there is compatibility problems with Macs. I know it works on Windows computers.
