Question about Maxtor Hard Drive
I have a
500gb maxtor hard drive
ultraATA pci 133
i posted awhile back that my maxtor 500gb hard drive wasn't reading all its capacity(only reading 30.1gb). Downloaded seagate to make sure the hard drive is fine and it is.
i asked a couple of tech guys and they told me it was my motherboard that was limiting my hard drive and they suggested i buy a pci card. So thats what i did.
pci card is installed along with the drivers. ATA cable is installed in its ide channel 1 and when i try and boot up it gives me a "disk read error" press control-alt-delete to restart...
Ok, just try another hard disk in your PC and then check the same problem is occuring if not then tell me..
