Question about Other Network Devices
My computer does not have a bluetooth device in it, so i got one from a comp tech friend of mine. how do i put it in? i took the bottom off and didn't find a place for it.
The Acer Extensa 4420 is compatible with the bluetooth module for the 5620 or a Dell RD530 module. Do a search on eBay.
Anyway, you'll have to open up your case for this. The connector for the module is just above and to the right of the Optical bay (just next to the speaker connector).
As for how to open the case, the service manual can be found here:

The 4420 does not come with a Bluetooth internal module but it does have a 4 pin connector under the case top. You need to take all the bottom screws out and separate the case in the front to see it. The connector is (looking from the front) to the left apx. 1" and back apx. 1/2" from the finger pad. Very close to the back right corner of the DVD drive, looking from the drive side. The connector is marked blue1. You can get a module from ebay. The one for it is the 4 pin reg. and will work with the switch that is built in. Acer US does not offer one (go figure). http://stores.ebay.com/Oldegg-Wireless-Depot

Those Bluetooth adapters are usually a USB device. You don't need to take the bottom off of anything to install them. Just plug it in to the USB port on the side or rear of your laptop.
