Windows can't see all songs on M230

Girlfriend has M230 with 60+ songs stored on it. She wants all the songs copied to her PC so she can keep them while adding others to the player. When plugging the M230 via USB into Vista Business PC, only 30 of the songs are visible in WindowsExplorer. Adding the device in MediaPlayer11 shows only the same 30 songs.

How can we copy the other half of the songs off the M230 onto her PC

Re: Windows can't see all songs on M230

Problem was half the songs were added in one USB mode and the other half in the other. Was able to get everything off the M230 by copying half the files, then switching modes.

How do i add songs into my mp3

Connect your mp3 player to your computer, once your computer installs the player, go to MY Computer, your mp3 player will be listed there. Double click on it, this will open your mp3 player. Once you mp3 player is opened on your PC, goto where you have your music stored, Right click on the song you want to add, select copy with your left mouse button, go back to your mp3 player folder, left click anywhere in that folder and select paste. This will copy your music to your player. Let me know how that works.

San Disk 230 (512 MB) MP-3 Player

If you have ripped the songs using windows media player 9 then you may want to rerip then again using windows media player 10 ( provided that you disable Copy Protect Music in The RIP tab ) and windows media player 11. If the songs came from music stores (napster,Rhapsody etc.. ) you can resync them using their software. You may want to reformat your player then retransfer the songs. This is normal if you purchase the songs. It dont mean the player is faulry its just the songs.

Can't delete songs on sansa m230

I actually had this exact same problem with my Sansa m230, and I was running from place to place just looking for an answer; I actually stumbled across it through some related searches here on this site ('reset' specifically), and I tried it out and it worked for me. The Sansa m230 has two USB interface modes, and choosing one will make your system recognize the device differently than if the other is chosen, so songs that were uploaded using the USB setting 'Auto Detect' (which tells the thing to use something called 'MTP' mode) won't be visible again when it's connected using 'MSC' mode, and vice-versa. Simply put: Unplug the little bugger, go into the USB settings, and choose whichever of the two settings isn't already selected, and plug it back in. For the future, I'm going to erase everything from one mode and put it back in through the other mode, just so this doesn't happen again. <.
