Routing with omni 3750 verifone

I am trying to route two of these together using a linksys router. I have DSL and it works fine with just one terminal. However, when I introduce the router and the second terminal, it doesnt work. I have tried configuring the router but still nothing and I just dont know enough about this omini to help myself! Any help would be appreciated!

What you need to do is put in a static IP address. To do this, connect a computer to the router and get you IP address then add it to the terminal comm. Port settings.
