    it says I don't have enough memory for the entire map. Can I download it to a memory card?

    that iwill not work, dump your favorites and everything like recently found and so on, this GPS doesn't have very much memory so you need to keep only what is absolutely ness stored.

The Nuvi 2xx series has a limited memory size. You will probably only be able to have the lower 48 states on it if you live in the US. You can free up memory be deleting unused voices, vehicle icons, pictures...

Does your Garmin Nuvi 205 or 205W get stuck or freeze at startup or when loading maps?

One trick to try when your GPS is acting up is to perform a Hard Reset.

Occasionally, your GPS may not start properly at all, and display a 'System Software Missing" message. Today's tip will describe how to restore your Nuvi GPS system software using Garmin Webupdater.

  1. The first step is to download the WebUpdater software.
  2. Plug in your Nuvi GPS into your PC with the USB cord.
  3. Run the WebUpdater program to install it to your PC and update the system software of your GPS.

Your Garmin Nuvi should be running as good as new.

Nuvi 205W keeps rebooting.
Your unit most likely has a firmware error, which could be due to a corrupt file. To solve it you yourself can try to update the firmware when connecting to the pc, if the unit cannot stay on enough for this to be performed, your unit will have to be sent in to service.

You HAVE to go through software support as this is an issue with the map. They told me it is because the map KEY is wrong, it is only for the united states, but the map is ALL of north america. The wait time is incredibly long, I have been waiting for over an hour, such bad service
