Auto punch I am trying to learn my new machine but am really having a problem with some of the things that are going on I know how to use the auto punch and bring a design into the program but then when I try to get it set up it does not read the program right and the stitching goes all over the place how do I fix it before I try to stitch it I know it should be pretty easy but I do not know how to do it and I do not know what to do to fix it I am very frustrated and i have no other way of getting help we live in the mountains and there is no where to look for help but this way I hope you can help and talk me through it or tell me how to find out or if there is a program that can walk me through it or something please help me someone I am trying to do logos and pictures and stuff but they really get messed up thanks

First, after you have installed the basic software and before you can install any add-on software, you must start your machine with the USB cable plugged in on both sides, so that Windows can actually install the driver. Then, start the Futura basic software one time, then close it--you don't have to actually do anything, just start it up. Then, check the Futura Support site http://www.futura-support.com. There is a patch you should run before installing the AutoPunch software for your model. Make sure you also download the instructions as well.

I have that machine, and am wondering if your needle has a burr on it, try a new needle, #11 or #80. You may also have no hook in your automatic threader to go throught needle eye. My first automatic threader was defective, no wire to go through the needle to catch the thread. Take a magnifying glass and look when you change your needle and watch when you pull your threader down, do you see a really fine wire come through the needle eye? If, not yours is defective because it has to pull the thread into a little loop for you to pull your thread through it after you release the lever quickly, Mine was a Singer and they sent me a new one right away, Brother will do the same for you, I am sure. Another thing you can do is go to your dealer and have them inspect it, I went to JoAnn fabrics and that is how I learned that I was not crazy, it was the machine,

You can go to www.singerco.com and buy a manual for $15. right from Singer. You really need your manual to learn where to oil your machine and other tips. Singer's site does have some things about threading your machine, because your problem is in your top threading. You can also call Singer at 1-800-4singer. Good luck

This machine uses a Singer Class 66 plastic bobbin.

For old Futura software optional features (AutoPunch,Photostitch etc.) can be installed only from original CD. You may upgrade your software to version 2.5.0.x that has more features and more flexible installation procedure, you may ask your closest Singer supplier about it.

possible that win now extinct win xp cannot handle both as from a compatibility issue

I have had the same thing happen to me even when I was on the phone with a brother tech, I went step by step with her, she told me to turn the machine off and then on, so it would clear it.

This was happening some when i was having problems just trying to wind a new bobbin.

ps. If other brother owners are not aware bother has a dvd for several machines that is put together very well in how to use your machines.
