The TV itself measures 31.5 x 23.7 x 9.9 inches (WxHxD) with included stand. You want to make sure you have at least 4 inches of clearance for airflow on top of those dimensions.

    How could a 42 inches TV be 31.5 inches in width?

  • joanbone Jul 01, 2011

    An lcd is measured cross-way from bottom left corner to top right corner. THAT measurement is what is 42". Not the literal width or height of the tv.

How do you find the a parallelogram with a base twice as long as the height and an area. Less than 60 inches

area = length x width If you assign the height (width) as X then the base (Length) would then be 2X. So if you go
50 = X x 2X
50 = 2X squared
25 = X squared
5 = X
So your height is 5 and the base is 10

Measure windows - easily and precisely

I always found it difficult to accurately measure windows with a tape measure, until I put a couple of sticks together. The sticks work great for measuring window widths for window shades or for ordering replacement windows. It is also perfect for finding a minimum width, because nothing in an old house is straight.
For measurements between about 26 and 42 inches you will need two straight pieces of wood approximately 1/4 x 3/4 x 24 inches. Round off one end on both pieces.

You can use a small clamp to lightly hold the pieces together. (Optionally, if you have a router table you can put slots in the two pieces to accomodate a bolt, nut and washers.)
Adjust the two pieces so that their combined length is just a little longer than the space you want to measure, and put only light pressure on the clamp or bolt. Twist the device through the space you are measuring so that the length of the device assumes the exact width you are measuring.
Do this in a couple of places (at the top, middle and botton of the window) to find the minimum width. Then tighten up the bolt (or clamp) just a little so it doesn't slip. Then measure the combined length of your sticks with a tape measure. This is amazingly precise.

How many gallons in an 88" x 15" x 9" trough?

try this :

  1. Measure the rectangle length, width and height. For example, 8 inches long, 6 inches wide, 10 inches high.
  2. Multiply the length by the height, then double the product. With this example, 8 inches multiplied by 10 inches results in 80 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 160 square inches.
  3. Multiply the width by the length, then double the product. With this example, 6 inches multiplied by 8 inches equals 48 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 96 square inches.
  4. Multiply the height by the width, then double the product. With this example, 10 inches multiplied by 6 inches results in 60 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 120 square inches.
  5. Sum the amounts from Steps 1 through 3 to find the rectangle surface area. So adding 160, 96 and 120 square inches results in 376 square inches.

Determining the cubic feet of any given appliance, Microwave, Oven, Freezer or Refrigerator is quite simple.
Follow these steps.

Open the door of your microwave and measure the length, width and height in inches of the interior cavity.
Multiply the length by the width by the height using a calculator to get the total in cubic inches.
Divide the cubic inches by 1,728, which is the volume of a cubic foot. The resulting number will be your microwave's measurement in cubic feet. You can also use an online conversion calculator to simplify matters

Hope that helps

How to calculate cubic feet ?

Calculating the cubic feet of a space requires multiplying the area of the bottom times the average height. You get the bottom area by multiplying the length times the width. Remember, to get cubic feet, you need all your measurements in feet to start with.

Here is your formula:

VOLUME (in cubic feet) = Length (in feet) X Width (in feet) X Height (in feet)

If it's a rectangular room you're working with, it is all straightforward. If there are irregular walls, it may be necessary to divide up the room into rectangular sections and then add together their individual volumes. If the ceiling is sloped, you need to use the height that has the same ceiling area above it as below it. Good luck! Truly.

Total weight is about 200 pounds. But, that machine comes apart.
You can take off the thumb screws and disconnect one plug and lift off the document feeder.
The machine processor separates just above the tray 2/3 module, also the tray 2/3 module separates from the stand. So you can make is much easier to move by taking it apart. Nothing is bolted together, just sits one on top the other.
