Hi I am vortash it sounds like you corrupted the the software by not saving or changing a device within the menu .. then when you pulled the plug out on restart the set had no point of refference as to settings so it is locked in stand by. you can download a manual for your set from Http://www.safemanuals.com free .. check out page 53 system defaults reset .. I think this may be the one your looking for .. for troubleshooting it gives a sony service center number also .. hope this helps you Regards Vortash
Remove all traces of the program from your system do a registry search for the software title F3 to find every occureece and delete the string,dword etc associated with the software
