Starts to the Fujitsu Screen then nothing

LB starts up to the Fujitsu Screen with a Loud Beep then does nothing else. On the screen at the bottom there are 3 items, [Esc] Diagnostic Screen,(that when I push brings up info about the Computer, from that screen there are 2 Items Bios Setup Utility /(when push say's entering Bios setup utility please wait and does nothing else) , the second item is Boot Menu, wich does nothing. Back to the start screen the other 2 items are the [F2 Bios Setup and [F12] Boot Menu wich does nothing. Has this NoteBook turned into a Exspensive door stop. Thanks

I have done what you wrote and now have it apart and can not find the battery. Joker

  • Joker99 Jan 17, 2008

Yes I found the Battery, I had to take apart the Bottom , it actualy sits next to the Hard Drive , in order to reach it you have to remove the bottom of the case. I have disconnected the Battery, pushed the start button several times. I will now assemble it and see what happens. I will keep Ya posted. Joker

No Actually its fixable

There are a number of issues that can cause this but all of them are hardware related.. Mostly its eighter the hard drive or them main board (bios)

1.) Open up the laptop
You do this by removing the hinge covers, then removing the
face panel(part with the power button)
remove the kwyboard and you wiull have axcess to it..
2.) there is a battery on the main board, simply disconnect it, then remove your laptop battery and hit the power button(switch now) seven times.. Hopefully this will discharge any remaing power and reset your bios..

now try booting, if that works, simply enter your bios(setup) and load the optamised defaults then save and exit..

If that fails, Open back up the laptop again and try disconnecting the hard drive.. If it boots and says no boot disc, then your hard drive is defective and needs to be replaced..

If all that fails you will need to replace your mainboard.. if you are not qualified enough to do this i suggest you take it to a technician,,, Let me know what happens and if you need additional information, just post your question here and i shall reply asap

Tiny laptop. Loud constant beep during start up, will not start.

This problem is commonly happen form the memory or RAM. At this time you need to check the memory. Remove the memory and turn it on identify in there is sound provided. This could be a problem with the system memory, an expansion card, or the motherboard.
Try to use another RAM or use the another memory slot. Clean the RAM and also the memory slot.

Good luck!

When I start up my Fujitsu Amilo Si1520, the fan starts working and nothing else happens -- screen remains blank.

Do you hear any kind of beep?
If yes, there is something wrong with your graphic adapter. If there is no beep, your MB is most probably dead

Fujitsu lifebook n5010 notebook won't reboot i let the battery run out while working. next day, turned on three loud beeps, then three loud beeps then fan runs but no display on the screen. power off,...

Okay, sounds bad.

However, take out the battery from the laptop and remove mains lead. Go and make tea! Then, drink it. Once you have complete this task.

Plug in the AC lead ONLY into the laptop and then try to power it on.

You should see lights on the Hard Disk LED or hear a beep. If you see them but nothing on the screen at all when booting then the capacitor pack has probably gone on the screen. This is not an expensive part, but you do need to know what you are doing to replace it. Think it time to give it to the workshop or ask IT bod to look at it for you.

PSU hangs the system: can't turn on; turns of in 30 min

either the power supply needs replaced or there is a short on the board...

pull the mb and guts of the system out of the chassis

connect the power supply with one cpu and one stick of memory for testing.. no add-in cards installed

then test the power capabilities..

if the system works out of the chassis.. ( alot of work to do ...understood )then there is short to the chassis of the from the motherboard

i really think the power supply is the issue though

Won't start up

Hi there.
If the beep is a short beep then there is nothing wrong with the PC, just enter the bios utility, set the date and time, save the changes and exit the bios.
The computer will restart and should boot straight through to windows.
Please post back if you need anymore help or advice.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
