Printer ''out of paper'' message

Hi,

My printer is new. I bought it two weeks ago. It worked fine until now: I am getting out of paper message, when it is loaded with exactly the same paper as it was until now. I try printing different documents, but it is not working.

Please help. Thank you.

I have an Lexmark x3350 and bought a new black ink cartridge a couple weeks ago. I was working fine till now, printer screen is showing Left cartridge incorrect. I unplugged everything, tried ...

Turn off the Printer and Unplug it from the Power Supply.
Remove the Cartridges from the Printer!!!!!
On the Backside of the Cartridge you would see a Copper Stripe, Wipe the Copper Stripe using a Paper Towel!
Reinsert the Cartridges and Restart the Printer.
Good Luck!!!

Either the paper sensor is broken (if it was stuck it'd always think it had paper) or the pickup roller needs maintenance.
Start by taking a lint free cloth moistened with distilled or bottled water and wiping then drying the paper pick roller really good.
If you can get your hands on some Rubber Renu, that's the best stuff in the universe...dunno why they discontinued making it...maybe because it turned plastic to oatmeal...did wonders on rubber though!
Another trick is to pour a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol onto a piece of paper where the pickup roller goes and quickly putting it in the tray and trying to print.
Keep telling the printer to resume or keep resetting the printer and sending another job til it feeds the paper. The alcohol cleans and moistens the roller until it's evaporated restoring the grip of the pick roller.
Clean any other rollers you can reach either with the lint free cloth or q-tips and bottled water or rubbing alcohol.
This should FixYa right up.
If it doesn't, the clutch may be gone in the printer, and you have a real problem. (that' or it's that darn sensor).

If you've only bought it 2 months ago it will still be under warranty.

Out of paper message

Problem is you use Works not Word at home. Trouble is, you don't know what version of Word your school has, but it sure doesn't have Works.. Open your document at home, click save as , then drop down to "Word 97-2000&6.0/95.RFT(*.doc). ".. chances are your school has one of these versions of Word. Resend to school, open and print.. Good luck.

Espon 1400 prob. with vista close the cd/dvd guide. It is CLOSED!

I am having the same problem. I am on my 3rd printer from Epson in 2 weeks.
The solution may be to buy another brand, but I have more in Epson ink & paper than I have in the printer.

Paper is jammed in the transport unit

This unit does not require the proof of purchase until 3/2009, so if you take it to a service center and tell them that you bought it about 8 months ago, but can not find the receipt, they are suppose to take your word for it and repair it under the warranty. However if you sent in the warranty card with the serial number they may have it on file, however the service center can not access that info unless they go through tech support in Va. Most do not.
I hope this helps you out, and lets you keep your hair in your head. :-)
