Question about iLO 2600 Television
I CAN'T CONTROL THE VOLUME ON ilo - 2600. HELP PLEASE
This might denote a problem with the audio processor. First I would suggest you getting the following tools:
Audio signal tracer (can be gotten from Radio Shack) Audio signal generator (for signal injection) Oscilloscope (to view audio signal waveform) Multimeter (to check DC bias voltages on the processor) Schematic Diagram (to locate test points)
First I would suggest taking the oscilloscope and testing the wave forms at the audio test points denoted by the schematic diagram. This will let you know if audio is present under normal conditions.
If the above test does not produce results I would suggest that you then use the audio signal generator to inject sound into the circuit at the first audio amplifier stage then use the Oscilloscope or the signal tracer to check to see if the audio amplifier stages are working.
If the audio amplifier stages are working then the problem is going to be in the audio processor, if the test fails then you move to the next amplifier stages until you can detect the signal on the output or the next stage over. This will allow you to narrow down the trouble location.
If you don't feel like you can do these procedures, I would advise that you take the TV to a qualified TV repair facility.
I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83
