Wont recognize the network and the network can see it
There is a small red light flasing in the left side of the back of the main part of the unit where it attaches to the smaller piece. My network cannot see the unit... it can copy with no problems the only thing it cannot do is print from the server or see it. I have already tested the patch cables and the switch it is on and they are all in great working condition. I am befuddled. Can anyone help ?

I just pull out the mains plug for a few seconds then put it back in. The red light keeps flasing for a while (be patient) then stays solid red. When I then switch on again with the remote it is fine. I often have to do this.
If the pair is the green power light and the red paper light that are flashing, then you have a paper jam. You need to check the paper path (it's possible that a small piece of paper tore and is causing the jam).
To clear this code requires you be in front of the machine, to the right side of the machine, just below the large glass is a cover remove it if you copiers is networked the cover is where the network cable connects. Once the cover is removed look inside you will see a small black button press it then get back to the operator panel you will see "Please wait" then you will see a small dot on the screen on the lefthand side of the screen when you see the dot press "3" you will see a 'TROUBLE RESET" PRESS the OK letb the machine go thur the motions this time when you see the dot do noting. Once ready to copy, turn off the machine both power switches main sw is in the back left side of machine then turn the pwr switches back on if this is not done your Start button will continue to blink on/off. If the code comes back your fuser unit needs replacement or worse the main board:(
i had same problem today, it had locked up during deal/no deal unplugged it three times nothing happened, wouldn't switch on unplugged again left it for 5 minutes then plugged in and left alone for 15mins plus lights flasing then evetually green light went all ok
I'm not the most technical person in the world but I think I've fixed mine which had the same problem this afternoon, which is how I came to find your message!
Right.. here's what I did. It would appear that you have some kinda mechanism jam (even if there's no disc in it), so... please excuse my non-techie terminology throughout.
By the way, I probably don't need to tell you this but unplug the unit from the mains first or you might light up if you touch something!
Working with the unit facing you (control side), remove the two small screws at the back (on the metal flange) and two medium screws from the right hand and left hand sides of the main casing, then slide it off from front to back so that you can see inside the recorder. If you look in and down at the CD tray transport mechanism you should see a white plastic 'cog' wheel on the left hand side of the unit near the bottom 'floor' of the machine. Carefully rotate this wheel with a finger CLOCKWISE (pushing the wheel from front to back), slowly and gently - don't force it - and you should see the CD tray mechanism and gubbins start to move; keep rotating until the tray comes right out, or as far as you think it goes. Then, plug the unit back in, and switch on - the tray SHOULD then be taken back into the machine, the red light will flash, and the display should come on. As I say, mine has, so try it and I hope it works for you!
All the best (we'll beat these damn machines yet!)
Have you checked the fuse at the back of the head unit. You will need to extract the head unit from the slot. There is a small blade fuse near to where the wiring harness connects to the back of the unit. Check it to see if it has blown. It normally is a red 10amp fuse. Also check your main fuse board.
If you watch how many times the light flashes and then relay that to your local authorized sony repair centre they will tell you what is likely wrong with the TV. Have you unplugged, left for a couple of minutes and re-plugged?
