My son has a xbox360 and were trying to get xbox live to connect and it wont we had it working just fine on his brothers hes not home so we hooked it up to the other xbox 360 and it wont connect

1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360.
2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

How do i reactivate the wireless controller to my xbox 360

How to Configure an Xbox Controller"> configure-xbox-controller-800x800.jpg Configure you Xbox controller.

The Xbox 360 utilizes two types of controllers: wired and wireless. Like most operations on a video game console, configuring a controller requires little effort. You can either plug the controller into a port on the Xbox 360, or sync a wireless controller using the console's built-in controls.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions

  1. Wired
    • 1 Connect the controller's cable to the in-line release cord. This cord prevents you from accidentally pulling the Xbox 360 along with your controller during game play.
    • 2 Insert the in-line release cord's USB plug into the USB port on the front of the console.
    • 3 Turn on the console to activate the controller automatically.
    • 1 Insert batteries in your wireless controller, if necessary.
    • 2 Hold down the "Guide" button on the controller.
    • 3 Push the Xbox 360's "Connect" button, located on the front of the console.
    • 4 Push the controller's "Connect" button to sync it with the Xbox 360.

No video have sound when using component connection on my xbox 360 hdmi ok. help

Your resolution settings on the xbox are too high for your currently used cables or tv. To reset your console's resolution follow these steps: To reset Xbox 360 console display settings
  1. If there is a disc in the console, remove it.
  2. Turn off the console.
  3. Turn on the console by using your controller (its best to have the controller plugged into the console rather than just using the wireless). To do this, press and hold the controller's Xbox Guide button until your console turns on.
  4. While the console is starting, press and hold the Y button and pull the right trigger at the same time. Continue holding the buttons when you see the Xbox 360 logo.
  5. The console will restart and you will see the Xbox 360 logo again.
The console's display settings are now reset to the defaults.

Why can't my wireless controller find my xbox360? It was working fine a few hrs ago but now it's just blinking. I press both buttons at the same time and I have tried separate times WTF lol

I'm sure you have tried most of these steps but I'm going to list them any way. So we have a complete picture of the trouble shooting process.

1. Sync system first (By pressing the sync button on the system)
2. Right after you hit the sync button on the system, hit the button on the controller

Try replacing the battery's and or rechargeable battery for the controller. Repeat the sync process above.

Try another controller with your xbox or try your controller with a different xbox. Repeat sync process above.

If another controller works with your system than that would indicate that there is an issues with your xbox controller.

If your controller works with another xbox and no other controllers work with your xbox than there is a issue with your console.

For issues related to the xbox I would suggest contact xbox directly by calling 1800 my xbox.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

How do you set up the xbox to wireless connection

Turn on the unit without a game CD in the drive; this brings up the main Xbox menu or “Xbox Dashboard
Using the joystick’s control pad, go to“Settings” then click the “A” button on the joystick

From the “Settings” menu, go to“Network Settings” and click the “A” button on the joystick

The “Network Settings” window has various options to connect the Xbox to a network or directly to an ISP using PPPoE. Click the “A” button to select “IP Address

The Xbox defaults to DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol). If there is a good network connection to your HomePortal, you should see the IP address fields populated. If the Xbox was previously configured for a static IP address, click the “A” button on “Configuration” and select “Automatic”. Click the “A” button to accept the changes or the “B” button on the joystick to go back up one level in the menu

The “DNS Servers” (Domain Name Service) is set to “Automatic” by default; you may need to reset it to a previous static setting. Simply click the “A” button and change the setting to “Automatic”, then click the “A” button to save the changes

PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) is turned off by default; if the Xbox was connected directly to a DSL modem before the HomePortal was installed, you need to change it back to “Off”. Simply click the “A” button on the “Configuration” menu and change to “Off”, then click the “A” button to save the setting.

The “Advanced” tab has the configuration menu for the Xbox-branded wireless adapter, where you change the DHCP Host Name and spoof the MAC (Media Access Control) address if necessary

Verify the settings; click the “Connect” option and click the “A” button to test the network connection.

The system now checks the physical connection, verifies the IP and DNS addresses then tests the connection to the Xbox Live service. If everything is ok, the test shows “Connected to Xbox Live

Having trouble connecting xbox contoller

I assume you are having trouble connecting a wireless controller? Make sure you press the small sync button on the Xbox as well as the guide button on the controller. If this isn't the problem, please elaborate.

Xbox wont sync with my wireless contorller

Have you ever synced one of these controllers before?

Hold the controller in your hand as if you were playing a game. Next flip the controller up so that the buttons on it, are facing you.

There is a small white button that you will see. Power your xbox up and after you get to your main menu press the sync button located about 2 inches to the left of your main power button on your console.

Press the described button on the console and then the described button on your controller. The two should sync together perfectly fine.
