Question about Panasonic Car Audio Receivers
I have a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with the original radioo and CD player. Recently when I try to play a CD I get a popping sound. I checked the wiring plugs and sockets and they seem okay. What might be the problem?
Your amp is not turning on - what you should do is connect the "blue/white - remote turn-on lead" to whatever wire you have the "blue - power antenna" output from the Alpine connected to now. That should solve your problem.

I have the same problem now too. It shows up error 11, 12 or 17. I tried using a cleaning CD but did not work. I think the lens needs to be replaced.

r4speed. Thank you. You hit the nail on the head!. take out the stereo from the car. take off the cover. unscrew small screws which hold the similar shaped steel box inside the stereo, which houses the gears. see the clear plastic cover over the gears. unscrew the screw which holds this cover down. see the broken off edge of the cover which comes off along with the screw. use super glue to glue this bit of small plastic back onto the edge of the gear cover. when dry and glue has set, screw cover back down, and reverse of disassembly. yeaaa for r4speed!!!!
