No this is not a wireless card. It must be connected with a wire to a switch or a router. All DFE-xxx products from D-Link are wired network adapters only.

What is this DLink Express Ethernetwork card for??

hi nadeemsultan

this works exactly as like a built in LAN adapter to your laptop. You may use this as a backup for your built in laptop LAN adapter. Altough this is more useful for some IT professionals who sometimes require a two LAN setup. I have also attached a useful guide that if found on the product catalogue itself.

WHAT THIS PRODUCT DOES
Connect to your wired home network by adding a D-Link 10/100 Fast Ethernet Notebook Adapter to your notebook computer. Once connected, you can access shared documents, music, and photos from other computers in your network. If your network has a high-speed Internet connection, you can also check e-mail, browse the web, and chat with friends and family online.

hope this helps. please let me know.

The 100m light flashes but the 10m don,t flash even though connected but speed very slow

The speed you are connected to your network at is 100mbs.
the 10m light shouldn't flash unless that's the speed of your network.
the slow speed is probably due to the bandwidth usage to the internet.
if anything else connects the internet on the network it will share the bandwidth. also depends on the broadband speed you are subscribed to.

I need internet on yy pc card

You need an ADSL Modem & a Broadband connection. You run a cable from the Ethernet connection to the Modem/Router, and that connects to the telephone line, and then onto the internet.

As you already know, the adpater has been discontinued, but D-Link has the drivers online for OS's thru XP. Follow this link, choose the tab on the right "Support Resources" and you will find the drivers. While this is for the 500TX, it will work for the 528TX.

Ethernet controller

Is this an external PCMIA card that you want to install into your laptop, or are you opening up the laptop and modifying the motherboard?

If its a PCMIA card that you are looking for, then I would suggest the D-Link DFE-690TXD PCMIA Ethernet Adapter. I have one that I'm using with an old HP notebook that has a fried internal network card. You can buy it from newegg for about 32 bucks with shipping.
