Question about Acer TravelMate 4230-6499 Notebook

Orbicam unplugged I keep receiving error messages regarding my orbicam being unplugged yet it's built into my monitor. On top of that I keep receiving error messages that a USB device can't be installed or errors occur. Nothing has changed in my mind since it was perfectly working several months ago. Any suggestions? Acer 4230, Windows XP not Vista

Try to find the combinations of keys to activate built in camera... i had the same issue on my laptop...and tried to find solutions like 2 weeks. :)... until i saw a picture of a camera on F7 key...:) ... i tried key Fn+F7 and worked :). My camera works on all programs but in Acer Orbicam Software says ''Camera is unplugged'' :) wtf ?

** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that
folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.

If that does not work then do this:

Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering Technology then Acer E-Recovery - The look at the bottom and you will
"Backup", "Burn disk" and Restore" choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say
extracting) - once extracted - click Install or Guides and Manuals if needing Orbicam instructions - click Vista or (XP) on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the
right side of the screen, then look for Bison driver or (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) you have then click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions. Then repeat steps above and instead of driver choose Bison (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) Utility

Go to your device maneger in the system properties (by right clicking the My Computer icon and go to properties click the tab Hardware and then go to Device Maneger) check if your cam is working properly and check if its enabled
regarding w/ your USB you can check it there....

Aspire 5610-2762 Orbicam not working

Try performing uninstall from control panel, even if the program is corrupted. Then install it again using the recovery disk or downloading it.

I uninstalled my acer orbicam and need to reinstall program help

If you uninstalled via device manager:-

Unplug Orbicam

Right Click My Computer >> Properties >> Hardware >> Device Manager

Plug in Orbicam

Click the top one in the list (Your Computer name)

Click Scan for hardware changes (small icon at top of device manager next to help button

Windows redetects any new hardware , hopefully it should find the camera , thenn you are prompted for device drivers :- Select automatically and see if it finds it

If not , download the drivers you mentioned above , then specify where the drivers are in the hardware wizard and it should reinstall everything then orbicam should work again

Acer Orbitcam does not work.

Been there. You need the driver in the Acer Site. Note !! you need the Acer Orbicam WHQL Driver as well as the Acer Orbicam Utility. The Orbicam webcam is a USB device. Pls follow this steps in sequence.
1. Install ChipSet/Lan Support.
2. Install Acer Orbicam WHQL Driver
3. Install Acer Orbicam Utility.

Hi uninstall the Cam application software from add/remove programs and reinstall the same .

Acer Aspire 5600's Orbicam


The is problem on the application program that let the cam errors, please ;

try scan your system with a potent antivirus and then unistall the cam driver and reinstall it again.

if the problem persist, i would recommend you to reinstall the windows operating and install all the necessaru drivers.

Acer orbicam

First u remove the orbicam drivers and restart.After windows booting,u insert orbicam driver cd and instal it.After installation completed,once again u restart the laptop.
