SOURCE: Dometic rm 2612. Shuts down on gas.

Ron;
Check the burner assembly. 1 screw, remove the sheet metal cover and clean it. The burner collects rust. This is the likely. Other issues would be the gas pressure usually checked with a manometer. Should 11" of water column. If your furnace works good then the gas pressure is probably ok. Also could have a faulty ignitor which sends a miliamp signal back to the circuit board. Check the burner first, after that leave the cover off and turn the fridge on. Watch the ingnitor attempt to lite the burner. Be sure the spark is going to the burner and not shorting out on the sheet metal it is mounted in. If it is shorting to the frame the ignitor needs replacing.
Thanks for using Fixya

SOURCE: dometic rm2453. Works

Interesting! Did you remove a shield that was there before? The only time I have had a problem like that is when we took the shield coving the pilot light area off and didn't put it back on right. You might want to check and make sure that everything is in place.

THESE USE SUCH A SMALL AMOUNT OF GAS ITS CRAZY... I REMEMBER STARTING MINE, MY FINGERS WOULD HURT SO BAD AFTER WAITING FOR IT TO GET GOOD FRESH GAS UPTO THE PILOT LIGHT TO STAY LIT.. THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS BLEED THE LINE OF AIR AT THE FRIDGE. OR SIT THERE FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES HOLDING THE START BUTTON.. YOU WILL SEE THE FLAME TURN FOM A KINDA WHITE TO THAT BRIGHT BLUE COLOR . THAT IT ! THAN IT WILL STAY LIT .. IF NOT THAN YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE THE BULB IS IN THE FLAMES PATH. I HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YA.. CUZ PARTS CAN BE KINDA HARD TO FIND, AND THERE NOT FUN TO WORK ON .. JAY THE POOL PUMP MOTOR REPAIR GUY IN LONGWOOD FLORIDA

I have a few issues with an old probably dinosaur Coleman Presidential III 7995a-856 Heating unit. I've had 3 different repairmen look at it and they're clueless. The main pilot will light and stay lit...

if the pilot is clean and and strong then this should play on to the thermocouple , i take it you have changed the thermocouple , and the connection is good at the gas valve , then if this going out could be 1, powerunit on gas valve not holding at thermocouple connection

2. Hole in heatexchanger blowing out pilot when blower comes on

I take it the pilot stays on untill fan comes on and keeps going out , I would think about not putting any more money in to this and get new if sounds as the heater has had its day ,

Pilot light on gas fireplace will not remain lit

check that you have thermopile connections are right at valve and that the flame is hitting both thermopile and thermocouple good. pilot falme may be blue but is it strong? a strong pilot has flame completely hitting both safety's. if pilot is small check pilot orifice inside pilot hood, a quick fix which may work is put vacuum over pilot hood and **** out any dust in there, just be gentle...

If it doesn't click or the light doesn't flicker it is probably either you don't have good strong 12 volt power getting to the fridge(12 volt required only to light on gas the first time) or else the little gas igniter module went out looks like this only sometimes black.

Now if it won't stay lit. It is something wrong with either your flame or your thermocouple. First try just blowing out the the flu right where the flame comes out blow compressed air in so if there is dirt or cobweb in there it comes out the back side. If that doesn't help disconnect your thermocouple and wipe the end and then connect it back up and tighten it. If it still wont stay lit still replace the thermocouple.
