I think your speaker is working in good condition
but your computer audio out not working
due to driver or hardware problem

  1. check sound driver is properly installed
  2. using other multimedia software instead of now using
  3. check audio hardware trouble

My old speakers dont work with my new pc

there could be 3 problems A) the speakers are broken B) if its a new pc it probably has a sound card with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound capabilities so you might have plugged it into the wrong port C) since it is now this probably isn't correct but your port could be broken
To see if its problem A simply get a new set of speakers and plug them in see if it works If its B then make sure its pluged in to the green input and it says "out" not side center or back if its C return the comp and get a new one
And btw make sure you check the port with the old one and the new one to make sure that even thought you plugged it into the right port it didn't work because it was broken

I have an ongoing buzzing/interference sound with these speakers - THey are new - I bought them because I thought it was the old speakers that I had which cauused the problem, but it persisted with these...

Sounds like electrical interference. If you can, try moving the speaker wires. They are like antennas. They might help to find the offending device. Otherwise try moving electrical devices away from the speakers and wire. Do it one device at a time so you will know which one is causing the problem.

Speaker in the Monitor?

It looks like there are no speakers according to:

You should be able to use any external speakers to your system. The question is looks and power. You will likely have to buy speakers that have power in order to get enough volume.

Most speakers that come with monitors are of very, very low quality. You now have the option of buying good speakers (if you want to pay for them). If you are in a hurry you can likely pick up cheap speakers at the drugstore or Walmart. Another option is headphones.

Good luck finding the right sound.

My Crate blue voodo amp head

1st off , check the connections from the head output jack to the speaker cab. If you can get hold of a meter , check the continuity on the cable (center wire to center wire , ground wire to ground wire) both should be about 0 ohms.
Do you have another speaker cab you can try>?

You might have a speaker fuse internal on the amp too OR a secondary fuse on one of the power supply lines

Ne w laptop wont let me hear through speakers

you can try and plug the speaker set into an old walkman or ipod headphone jack if you have it and see if they work, if they dont work with any other input they are defective so take them back.

Kenwood Car stereo receiver

Sounds like the woofer cones are blown, no fix for that except to replace them.

You did the right thing disconnecting one at a time. Are both speakers doing that? It is a little strange that both would go out at the same time, but stranger things have happened.

If you have an extra speaker laying around someplace that you know is good (even a home stereo speaker), try disconnecting both speakers and connect the one good one to see if it sounds OK. If it sounds good or at least normal, you have some bad speakers. If the one speaker still sounds bad, you have a problem with the speaker wiring someplace. You might even need to run new wires just to rule them out as a problem.

If the problem is not the speakers, then this is a very strange problem indeed!
Good luck and I hope this helps you. If you need more help just reply back after you checked them out a little more.
