My computer seems to lock up and I have to reboot quite bit when ever I have my printer hooked up. I think there is a conflict with the HP software, as I just reformatted my computer and I have not loaded the HP software on yet I do not have any problems with the computer locking up.
    Is this common?
    Thanks Dave

It's the drivers sometimes they are for the series notnecessarily for your printer. I personally prefer to use the disc that came withthe printer rather than use Windows. Have you got a disc that came with the printer as the drivers need to be re-loaded. You could also go to the manufacturers web site and download the drivers from there.

You might have to uninstall the printer restart your computer then reinstall your printer
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow?question mark this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver, disable, uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options also you can troubleshoot the device
you could run the check disk utility

My HP Photosmart 7960 won't stop printing copies

First, try to restart the print spooler. Here's how:

Start > Run > type ""services.msc" (without quotes) > the services window will appear.

Locate the "Print Spooler" on the list > click "Restart the service" that's on the upper left-hand side of the window.

If same problem occur, try to uninstall and re-install the printer driver.

Good luck!

Photosmart 7960 prints blank documents; prints from internet ok

If it can print from the internet, it is working properly. I would disconnect the printer from the computer, uninstall the drivers and reboot twice. Reinstall the drivers and hook up the printer when instructed. Make sure that you select this as the default printer. (unless, of course, you have another as default)

Using JETCET Print with OKI C5200n Printer

The OKI 5200 is a 'GDI' or Windows only printer and does not support PCL or PostScript languages.
Most if not all of the printers listed support either PCL or PS or an inkjet based language.
I'm afraid you will not be able to print the the 5200 without it's driver loaded on the PDA.
If the 5200 supported PCL you would be able to choose any of the
Color HP Deskjets.
