assassin's creed 2, as i play the problem gets worse, it starts out with 1 line coming out of his head, the lines are the same color as where they came from, after playing for a half an hour then there are 8 lines or more, they come out of buildings and other people, it is really annoying, is the game itself, the console, or the tv; how do i fix it?

Many older numeric keypads included a non printing character for use in the olden days when teletypes (Old style printer heads that actually traveled across a page and struck the ink ribbon with a character to create words. The Null character was a non printing character sent at the end of lines to allow the type head to return to the left edge of the page. Much later the null character is used in some programming languages and is often represented by an escape character as /0 which is the ASCII character with a value of zero. Try a different disc, one that worked before if problem still persists try and buy a lens cleaning disc that should solve your problem. If not, your optical laser head needs replacing.
Use the D-Pad to move around Y is to shoot or swing your weapon, or just hit with your fists A is to use switches, pick up objects, build LEGO objects, use the Batarang B is to jump X is to Tag between characters in the game. L and R are to switch characters in the freeplay mode and some parts of the story mode. You can also use the Touchpad to switch characters.

Vehicle controls
D-Pad to move, press down to slow the vehicle. X is to use the Boost rockets, you need Boost Energy to do so. Y is to shoot.
I think this is the part where he is stuck... You will see a Blue Brick Machine in the area. Gather the 2 Blue Bricks nearby, and step on a circular floor switch to get the 3rd one. Placeing all 3 of them on the machine gets you a Grapple Spot to build & use as Batman. Build & use a wall switch to get a ladder to build for Robin to climb up. Switch to Robin and head towards the back of the ledge to build a Tightrope. Cross the Tightrope with Robin to get to the top of the Cinema. Build & use a wall switch to open the door near the gate that is locked. Go into the door & use a wall switch to open the doors to the cinema. Switch to Batman & Bomb the Red box in the lobby. This gets you 2 circular floor switches to build. Step on one, and your partner will step on the other. This makes a ladder to build appear, carefully avoid the green stuff in this area, cause you are not immune to toxic & climb the ladder and Bomb the lock on the gate to get it open.
This happens when your print head gets dirty.
Just claening the print head should solve your problem.
To do this: Click start button > click Printers and faxes. > Right the printer icon > click properties >
Here you should find something like "Head cleaning" or "Clean the print head". This option can be used to clean the priter head automatically.
If it does not work, you can manualy take out the cartridge and dip it in to IPA (Isopropyle alcohol) solution would clean the head[dip the head only not the complete cartridge]. After a few minutes (10-20) you can fit the dry cartridge the printer.
If nothing works try changing the cartridges.
Note: When the ink is running out this may occur. The only thing we can do is to replace the cartridge.
It's likely a "hammer" is defective. This can be caused by
a build up of ink under the ribbon shield and/or around the hammer "fret" itself or the fret is physically broken. Remember
that this is a "shuttle" printer and each fret covers anywhere from
one to three characters depending on model. Some cover fractions of characters as well. The problem will appear as either
data missing on the left or right margin or a blank column of missing data going down the page.
A technician is required to solve all of these problems as the
shuttle assembly must be removed.
