You need a new vibrating motor - part costs about $12 + installation. if you bring it to a local repair shop don't pay more the $40 including install.

We at http://horizonwirelessonline.com are motorola experts - if you have us do the work for $10 more we will give your phone a completly new firmware and make the ringtones louder, as well as turn on your video camera option :)

Well now that means another $50-100 for a main board - if you can find on ebay a used or broken V3 but working, we can replace the main boards for you... but now becomes a hassle as you will loose whatever is on your old board.

SOURCE: Won't Ring

check the settings in your phone book. this happened to my phone and all of the personal ring tones were set to vibrate. I don't know how this happened. I went into each contact and changed the ring tone to none and I am back in business

Does Nokia E5 have a vibrate mode? (I tought the phone would vibrate when in "silent" mode, but it doesn't.)

you must edit your profile settings for vibrate mode. its simple. just select any profile, then personalise then on the ringing type choose vibe. thats it and activate the profile. good luck

I have the ring tone set to vibrate & the phone does not vibrate. this just recently happened. Use to work fine before.

The vibe motor is inside the phone and can be replaced at a service center. Hopefully the unit has no physical or liquid damage.

make sure you have "txt messages" set to ring/vibe not "calls to line 1 ring/vibe"

Ringer volume is low

Motorolas generally have a very low ringtone. The only solution is to find the loudest one on the phone and turn it up to the max.or alternativly go to settings-ring sytles-and change to vibe/ring.This will vibrate the phone first.if you phone is in your pocket or bag you should feel it vibe first than ring.

No ring, only vibrate

if the ringtones ring from settings or the songs play then it will be surely the settings problem please select ring and vibrate instead of vibrate only and if it doesn't works then go to a near by repair shop and ask them to check and change the buzzer

MOTO PEBL MESSAGE AND RING TONE

i think this is what you're going for...Go to SETTINGS, then RING STYLES. Whatever ring style (ie, vibrate, silent, vibe & ring, vibe then ring, loud, soft), underneath is the detail for it, which you can then change (bottom right of screen).

So right now my phone is:
"Style: Vibe & Ring" and underneath that is "Vibe & Ring Detail"
Under the details, you can change your ring tone by scrolling down to the "Calls" option and choose change (bottom right of screen). And to change your message tone, just go to "Messages" and then change (bottom right of screen).

Hope that helps!

In vibrate mode, phone continues to vibrate after being answered

The phone is in "vibe then ring" mode.

Go to tools then ring styles using the "-" at the top center of the keypad. It will be set to vibe then ring, press "change" alter the style to vibe, vibe then ring, silent, loud or whatever you like. That is also where you find what ringtone is used for the ring.
