Picture and sound went out. quickflash across the screen. then nothing. tv still has power. model number 46ex2b. couldn't find it listed

the problem may be in the heater supply, there are 3 picture tubes in projection tv. remove the back cover, switch on the tv & observe the heaters are glowing inside picture tubes. if not unplug the tv wait for 2 minutes, & trace the picture tubes' heater wires. there may be dry solders in heater power supply.

Have sound but no picture. We have comcast and can only see a small screen in upper right corner after pushing the menu button. In this picture, I do see my comcast channels and I am able to change them...

Look inside front panel under RHS picture tube for leaked fluid. If you see a puddle on signal board, take tv to street - it is unrepairable then. The coolant is poisionous.
If that looks ok, then make sure you're using original Mits. remote.
Hope this helps.

Picture is not very clear and the color is faded and can not adjust it

This mite sound crazy but it is time to change the oil in your TV. Yes your TV has three seperate picture tubes on the inside of it. A red tube, blue tube, and green tube. Each one of thses tubes has a clear oil that the light shines through. Over time this oil gets cloudy and distorts the light thus dimming and fadeing your picture please have a tech change the oil in your tubes.

Slow to turn on Phillips flat screen tube big screen

That is a common issue with the last generation of the phillips big screens, the best answer for this is one that i got at a meeting with phillips service several years ago. On philips the tv will not show a picture till the tubes are balanced out, simular to sony, but in a phillips if the white balance is not correct the picture and sound will be muted till all three tubes have warmed up enough to produce a good white balance. As the set ages the tubes become weaker and this procesess takes longer.

Sony Trinitron screen flashing

The picture tube is starting to fail. The increased screen voltage allows it to stabilize at the expense of color quality. Sorry to say, but it is time for a replacement.

Sansui SV 2938 picture disply too big for screen

first is that tv have a tube if it does take back off and you will see what looks like a large light bulb tube and theres a clamp or two maybe even three clamps holding it inside the main big tube loosen the clamps being carefull not to get shocked by touching the wrong thing and the tube will slide back and forth it will also turn so place a mirror or just try looking around it when you adjust the tube to the correct messurement and make sure its level then lightly retighten screws be very carefull not to crack tube by over tightng hope this helped

Sound but no picture is it the picture tube or just another problem

most likely will not be the tubes mate, if the tubes go then you just get a big mix of red green and blue colours in the screen - sound but no picture is more likely to be the starter unit on the flat screen.
flat screens have a starter unit - mine went on a samsung but under warrenty

Problem with RCA TV Model 27F634T

You almost certainly have a bad picture tube. The green screen was from one of the elements inside shorting out. The static sound you're hearing is the high voltage arcing out through the end of the picture tube to other parts inside the set. It's more economical to buy a new TV than to repair this one.

Sorry to have such good news, but this is one of the ways a picture tube can go bad, and it happens quite often.
