Question about MPC Computers Envision EN 775e 17 in.CRT Conventional Monitor

1 Answer

EN-775e The display properties screen (the one that comes up when you hit "menu") keeps popping up on my screen. Sometimes it pops up multiple times in a minute and sometimes it pops up less frequently. Can you tell me how to fix this problem? By the way, I am not very well versed in computer repair!

I tried going up by one notch using the control panel, settings, control panel (there are only three possible settings?) and this didn't solve the problem.

When it pops up again under DISPLAY properties open the settings tab and increase resolution one notch and save the setting see if this helps.

How do I make my screen size on my computer smaller. Too big for the size of my comp.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties right at the bottom of the pop-up menu. Then a "Display Properties" window will open. Click on Settings. In this tab you should see a slider bar with the title "Screen resolution", (drag this to the right to make the screen more detailed/smaller and your icons smaller) or (drag it to the left to make the icons larger and the screen size less detailed/larger). Then hit Apply.

NB: If your screen goes blank it means that your display card cannot handle the given resolution. If this happens immediatelly hold down the"Enter" key on your keyboard until the display comes back. Then try a lower resolution.

Please rate me high.
Thanks.

Click properties a pop up should open up saying taskbar and start menu properties. Click the start menu tab, if your not already on it. Then click the customize button. Stupid padlock/main menu keeps opening and closing DELLe152fp

That is the OSD (On Screen Display) system built-in to your computer monitor. Check that when you hit the ON/OFF button on your monitor, that you do *NOT* hit the 'OSD ON/OFF' button.

Most of the time, the OSD will disappear after 10 seconds of "non-use".

Monitor will not display

Your display app controls that, try updating drivers/ software for graphics card on laptop.
Or press the monitor button (usually Fn + something) till it comes right

Menu keeps popping up; Stuck buttons perhaps?

Yes, a stuck key would be a likely culprit. Sometimes a key will get stuck out of just plain useage/wear, or, pop or other liquid spill or splatter will result in a sticky key. Press on the suspect key-compare to another key- different feel will tell you a problem exists.

Low cost keyboards don't generally have the life expectancy as older higher quality ones. Laptop keyboards are also more fragile, and subject to problems.

Resolution notice keeps popping up every thirty seconds or so. very annoying. this happens only when using cd rom game diablo. wants me to change to 1280x1024, which my computer is set at now. otherwise...

When you load the splash screen of Diablo enter into settings. Make sure you have the game set to the screen resolution you want.
For the system. Open display properties. Click Settings, click Advanced, click Monitor. (Most games require 60 hertz) to run correctly. Change your monitor to 60 hertz. Than click the Adapter tab. Click list all modes. Move the slide bar to your normal screen res with 60 hertz. Click ok at every screen as you back out od display properties. That should stop your game from popping up.
