Question about Sony XS-L1035 Car Subwoofer
I'v had these sony subwoofers for about a year and a 1/2 and never had a problem.I bought them from my friend and he installed it and everything. During the beginning of the summer one of the subs was turning on and off and wanted to know what was the problem. When I opened my trunk I pushed the subwoofer in and it worked fine but only for a few seconds and then it shuts off. I had took the 1 sub out of the box and had some people look at it, some say it was blown and others say it was the wiring. So I eventually took it to a mobile installtion shop and told me the sub was no good and charged me to rewire everything in my car because the wiring was an amature job. Now my other sub, which I have only 1 at the moment was working just fine and now its starting to have the same problem as the first sub.but the only difference is when I push in the subwoofer toward the box it works great for a couple of minutes and then goes off.At some occassions it turns on randomly and then it shuts off.Can anyone have a solution for this problem because I have tried doing everything to fix it for the past couple of months and no luck.
The wiring from the post to the cone are bad, had the same problem with the pros telling me it was an amateur job of a hook up they only wanted to make a buck to hook it up all over again. I had a tv repair shop redo the wiring at the sub cone. had it for 4 years now with no problem

Try getting new subs and an amp and see what happens. but i have two 12" pioneer subs and the wirings fine so i know they're blown.

Tips for a great answer:
1. check all connections(Battery and starter)Did #2 to a friends caravan similar (model year to yours). She was having an intermittent no start problem.
2. Starter contacts could be worn ( find online, dealer wont sell these)
