Can you clarify which wire? If you dont know what its called...what does it look like? Is it broken? What part of the speaker is the wire hitting and is it shaking because of the vibration from the base? Can you clarify which wire? If you dont know what its called...what does it look like? Sounds like it's overloading you may have a sub to small for your amp cut all the settings on your amp back to minimum wind them up until sub cuts out then drop them back a bit .
I would tend to believe it's more likely a worn sway bar bushing or link if it's a rattle or a small clunk, if it's a loud clunk probably a strut, try bouncing he back of the car when parked, if you get the clunk probably a strut if only when driving, turning, braking probably just a bushing on the sway bar
you might try unplugging the wires from the sub, turn it back on with the wires disconnected- if the noise comes back the amp is probably bad - if the noise doesn'tcome back -turn your head unit off and reconnect the sub- if the noise comes then your sub's voice coil could be shorted- if the noise comes back you should try a different speaker to compare- if the noise still there with the test speaker your problem is definately the amp.

Check the electrical contacts on the back of the faceplate and on the front of the head unit for dirt/other damage. If nothing obvious there I would suggest sending the unit for service.
search for a short to chassis when you mount the speaker, there's no problem if the magnet touch the chassis. you can test the cables with a multimeter.check if the tiny flexible cables on the speaker touch metal when is in movement.
(on sound).
the ground may not be coming from your stereo it should be coming from a loose wire under the hood. Do u have the factory radio? that might be it if u do
If your sub or its amplifier is placed too close to the transmission box, this situation can cause interference. I suggest that you buy a ground loop isolator or an RCA filter. If the problem is about grounding, then you have to buy a ground loop isolator. Otherwise, an RCA filter can solve your problem. First of all, the problem has to be diagnosed.
Check all the wiring. It could be a loose connection since it's intermitent. Really pay attention to the power cable, both the end for the amp and the one that's going to the battery cable.
