Most likely there is something jamming the pump look on the back and you might see an access panel remove it and you will see a large hose coming down from the tub.Now the washer will still be full of water. There are three ways to deal with this the best way is to get a shop vac.remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vac the water out,the second is to get a pair of radiator hose clamps from the auto parts store and clamp the large hose as close to the tub as possible ,the third is you can get a bucket remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and getting as close to the floor as possible let the water drain in the bucket .after that put some towels around the pump.Remove the clamp and slide the large Rubber boot off the pump look in the pump for foreign objects jamming the impeller blades and for broken blades if broken replace the pump.feel in the boot for same as pump .Then reassemble if nothing found then go check drain hose.

Maytag 3000 series washer f21 code and sometimes suds code i checked drain hose and drain catch all is clear but i do see drain pump come on what to do?

Is there water in the machine? Is it actually draining? If you select spin and the water drains but the error still occurs it may be the pressure switch. The pressure switch will be stuck on full so the unit says it has taken too long to drain F21. If it doesn't actually drain and you have checked the pipes( both from pump to outlet drain AND pump to tub of machine) then it is likely the drain pump itself and will need to be replaced.

The water drains out of my Maytag Atlantis washer, but water backs up in the drain pipe. I have had a plumber run a snake and cleared the drain, but water still backs up. Is there anything that coul

The wall box outlet probably is about 1-1/2 in. in diameter. If it was snaked clear then there may be blockage in the main sewer line. In my case, there is a 90 degree bend that gets blocked periodically and causes the washing machine discharge to back up

Water doesn not drain out

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again. Also check that the drain pipe is not kinked or caught somewhere.

When my washer in in the rinse cycle the water flows out from the top of the hose. I have used drain opener to unclog the drain. This happens every time I use the washing machine. The washer is only a year...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France Tues afternoon 15:00,

Couple of questions -
does the outlet pipe from the washer go into the (house) drain pipe fairly high up, near the top of the washer or is it low down? It should be maybe 1 metre above the floor.
If it is at the correct height, are you absolutely certain that the u-tube in the house plumbing is clear?

If the outlet pipe is high and the u-tube is clear it is possible (you do not say what make and model it is) that the house plumbing pipe size is not sufficient for the speed and amount of water that this (new) machine delivers over your others.
I really would suspect a partially blocked u-tube because, without taking the u-tube to pieces to check, 'drain opener' will not necessarily clear absolutely everything- honest ;-0)

Good luck,

John C

It wont drain the water away after a wash we

sounds like your pump may be gone, or could be pipe blocked. to check pipe fill machine take outlet pipe at rear of machine and lay this into a bowl. If water flows ok then all pipes are clear. As water is coming through just put machine onto spin cycle and raise hose to see if water will then pump out.

Over flowing on water discharge

This is not a fault with your machine.
The problem lies aquarely with the outlet pipe in the building plumbing. Very often there is a gradual build-up of grease in this pipe somewhere before the pipe gets larger to the main drain.

The first solution is to use a solid or liquid drain cleaner in that pipe - and leave it to work at least overnight.
Then fill a bowl with very hot water and Soda Crystals - basic washing soda.
Flush the pipe with a full bowlfull of this hot water (may need a large mouthed funnel)
Also a hosepipe from the hot tap to a pipe in the outlet will work.

Once clear - you shouldn't have anymore problems.

If you wish, you can wrap a polythene bag around the machine outlet, then force this into the wall drain pipe - to make a better seal. It's not ideal, but may help with pipes that are slow to drain.

Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.

F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.

F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.

Doesn't fill

Is your outlet pipe at the required height behind the machine? Your outlet pipe should be approx 3 feet high behind your machine, or the water would just flow out. The pump in your machine pumps the water OVER this height. Check this out.
