Specific user cannot use Bypass Tray

Hello,

I have a weird problem with our Canon iR3300. A specific user is trying to send a document to the Bypass Tray but each time she send her documents to the printer, it sends the job to the Legal tray (it is a legal document, but she was asking to print on the Bypass Tray...).

I tried to reinstall the drivers, but it doesn't solve the problem. When I log on her laptop with my own profil (we are using roaming profiles), I can use the bypass tray with no problem, but when I try with her profil, nothing works (even on another computer). I compared her printer configuration with mine and everything is the same.

I'm pretty sure that if I delete her roaming profil and create a new one, it will solve the problem but it takes time to do that and I can't afford that time right now.

I'm open to any kinf of ideas on that matter.
Thanks you!
Martin

We have exactly the same problem. All other users on site can use the bypass tray or not, as they choose, but this one users cannot select the bypass tray. It always prints from the main tray.

We have un-installed and re-installed the printer for the one user. No joy.

This user does not have a roaming profile. We will try and replace the local profile, but this is not an acceptable means of resolving the problem. It really sounds like a permissions/access/corruption issue for one of the local files. If there was a willingness to find the problem, then it should be quite easy for the developers to resolve the issue.

The user profile has gone corrupt. it needs to be deleteed. if you cannot do that you can create a new user profile as administartor and acess documents in her profile and print it from the new profile

My dell 2335dn error message says "MPF tray empty" what is the problem?

It's looking for an alternative paper size from the MPF (multi purpose feeder) because it thinks the size you need FOR THE SPECIFIC DOCUMENT BEING PRINTED is not available in the default feeder. You can bypass this behaviour see here on page 73

Does using stack bypass reduces the life of the machin :- Canon ir3300

No it will not reduce the life of the copier. Who told you that??? The only problem would be that the feed roller may need replacing more often. It may also, effect the fuser unit, but it depends what type of paper you are using in the copier.... Good Luck... I'd find another service person if that was there answer to using the bypass tray...

Paper keeps getting jammed in left cover when i try to copy on both sides of the paper

Hi,
first: did you set correct paper size and type for bypass insertion?

Second: Clean roller!!

Remove drum cover, its a cover left sideway, with grey handle in middle. You can remove it by pulling it into left side.
Remove bypass tray, it is holded by two plastic hinges. You must remove them from its holders.
Now you are able to see the bypass roller. Its in the midlle and has plastic axis from both sides.
Clean it with alcohol, and dry it.

Try now, run few copies from bypass.

If that doesnt helps you you need to check bypass clutch, wich is located left of the bypass tray, covered with plastic cover, wich covers section from bypass to up to the fixing unit.
To remove bypass clutch you also must remove back cover.
But if you must do these write me on emma.servis@gmail.com, or call service, because the clutch must be putten into specific position.

Hope that helped!

Hullo, i have a canon ir3300 that am trying to print with but it has failed how do i do it

Hi,
Did you try to print test page from driver properties on PC? Did it came out OK? If yes then you have problems with document that you are trying to print.

Also it can be that you have wrong paper size set in cassete or in printer drivers.

Please be specific, how does print fails?

Cannot send a p rint job to pring labels from word to bypass tray with Canon 5000 copier Click on copier properties, click on bypass tray and then ok and print. Will not print fromt he bypass tray Ideas?...

If you can copy from the bypass, you should be able to print from it. It may be a setting in the print driver. Not the one you use through windows but the one installed in the printers folder in control panel. Check that it is not set to draw 1 - it should be on AUTO. Also, the document you are using has print settings of its own - check them as they will overide the tray you select. Select from within your document file - options - printer then look through those settings and anything telling the machine to print to a particular draw will make your job go there instead of where you ask it to.
