Question about Danby DCD5505W Electric Dryer
Hereare the Danby instructions:
INSTRUCTIONSTO CHANGE DRYER BELT DCD5505W-1, REMOVE THE SCREWS ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF
THE FRONT THAT GO FROM BOTTOM UP. REMOVETHE TOP BY REMOVING THE 2 SCREWS HOLDING IT DOWN FROM BEHIND, PULL BACK ANDLIFT OFF. REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS ON EACH SIDE THAT GO FROM INSIDE FORWARD THATHOLD THE PLASTIC FRONT ON AND REMOVE THE PLASTIC FRONT. REMOVE THE FRONT SCREWFROM THE CENTER
BRACE BAR RUNNING FRONT TO BACK ACROSS THE TOP. REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS ON EACHSIDE AT THE
TOP THAT WERE REVEALED WHEN THE PLASTIC FRONT WAS REMOVED. REMOVE THE 6 SCREWSAROUND THE FACE JUST INSIDE THE DOOR THEN SWING THE FRONT OUT RIGHT TO LEFT. REMOVETHE 2 SCREWS ON EACH SIDE OF THE
INNER BULKHEAD PANEL AND REMOVE THE PANEL. AT THIS POINT YOU CAN REPLACE THEBELT, IDLER, AND MOTOR MOUNTS. THE 1 EXTRA STEP THE REPLACING THE MOTOR IS TO REMOVE THE BACK AND THEBLOWER COVER THEN UNTHREAD THE BLOWER WHEEL FROM THE MOTOR SHAFT.

I needed to replace my belt. I called the Danby Customer Service number 1-800-263-2629. I called early in the morning and got straight through. I received wonderful, prompt friendly service.
The belt cost $25.19 plus postage and handling.
