Either bad carriage or trailing cable if you've already tried new inks.

if none of those work then it has to be the electronics module

System error code 070010

07-00-10 error code refers to a drop out voltage warning,
basically this means something in the machine is shorting the power supply out,
the chance's are that the fault lies with the trailing cable where the laquer and white coating eventually wears down to reveal bare trailing cable connections which short to ground causing the power supply to temporarily shut down causing the formatter to display the error.
this is a very old model now and the chances of you being abble to order 'new' have allready gone. I would recommend upgrading to a newer model.

Hp 750c Designjet plotter system error 010030 00070b20

  • Trailing cable
  • main PCA
  • carriage assembly

What is system error 0B0006 on Hp design Jet plotter? I have replaced the power cable but no luck

The Trailing Cable has been incorrectly connected OR the fuse in the Electronics Module has been burned.

Corrective Action: Turn the Printer OFF and disconnect the trailing cable. Check that the ends of the Trailing Cable are flat and are not damaged or bent. Reconnect the Trailing Cable correctly, making sure it is pushed in firmly. Do the resistance test. Power ON the Printer and check if the Error Code disappears. If the Error Code continues, replace the Main Logic Board

Note: The logic board is a direct replacement for the Designjet 1050C Plus and 1055CM Plus. If the plotter you are repairing is the Designjet 1050C (not Plus) you will also need to replace the memory and the firmware.

If you are repairing a Designjet 1055CM (not Plus) you will have to replace the Hard Disk Drive also. The firmware is identical for the 1050C Plus and 1055CM Plus

Note: The aerosol fan is not used in the Designjet 1050C Plus or 1055CM Plus. Coil the cable out of the way or completely remove the fan.

WARNING TAKE CARE WHEN CONNECTING THE TRAILING CABLE TO THE ELECTRONICS MODULE OR CARRIAGE. INCORRECT INSTALLATION WILL BURN THE FUSE IN THE ELECTRONICS MODULE, CAUSING THE COMPLETE FAILURE AND REPLACEMENT OF THE LOGIC BOARD. 100 OHMS OR HIGHER MUST BE SEEN AT THE TEST POINTS. CONSULT THE SERVICE MANUAL FOR CORRECT PROCEDURE.

Continuable and Non-Continuable Error Codes

Some of the Error Codes are continuable, which means you can press Enter on the front-panel and continue working with the Printer. Non-Continuable Error Codes do not allow you to continue working with the Printer, in this case power the Printer OFF and ON again and see if the System Error disappears. If the Error Code reappears, then the Printer requires service in order to resolve the problem.

System error codes are hexa-decimal based numbers generally caused by internal system errors. Only try one recommended action at a time and check if the error code has disappeared.

I just changed a paper roll in my 750c and now I am getting error 010033 00070ae3. any suggestions? thanks

This error means there is a loss of communication between the main board and carriage. I had this problem, and tried to re-seat the trailing cables. This is the flat ribbon cable that travels with the carriage. Having no luck, I trimmed the end of the trailing cable slightly, which allowed fresh material to make contact when pushed back in. Problem solved.

I am getting an 060309 error code on a HP DesignJet 650. What do I need to have repaired?

Probable cause:
The optical sensor on the carriage has
failed to locate lines drawn during the
pen calibration routine. Reduce the
ambient light. If the media is not clean
and reflective, change the media. If
the lines are faint, replace the pens.
Clean lenses. Replace LED. Use the
Edge detect test, found in the service
menu, to help troubleshoot.

Hp design jet 750c plus. while plotting auto cad drawing,i command it to plot black/white (mono) but it plots all in color instead.I selected mono button on the printer as well.

Your plotter driver needs to be set to either black or greyscale. The driver will overide the settings on the plotter unless you set up the plotter in manual. ie the pen thicknesses, colour etc are set in the control panel to manual. The driver takes priority always.

Partial plot

if connected via ethernet cable then i believe you have a bad network card, if connected via parrallel, then check to make sure the cable is not over 15 feet in length. also try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers on your computer as they sometimes become corrupt. Good luck!
