If the track ball is stuck, there's something that's preventing it to roll. Cleaning it should be the solution, but you need to contact the manufacturer and have them clean it for you. Because that track ball is not easy to remove.
This is very common for the blackberry's. Sometimes the trackball gets full of lent and dirt which won't allow the wheels to move. The chrome ring around the ball just pops off and the track ball should come out. Try cleaning it with a small brush. If this doesn't fix the problem, then a new track ball can be purchased on ebay for less than $5
It might be a case where the track ball has some dirt or debris underneath it. First, turn the device off. Next, press down firmly on the track ball while at the same time rolling it in every direction. Hopefully that will knock loose any debris.
