Did you use the printer before that is connected to your laptop and prints fine or you are setting up the printer but unable to set up?

Before that check that all the cable connection are connected. Remove and connect it again, then when setting up the printer, check if it is reconized by your laptop by adding and setting up the printer once more.

Check also the printer's compatibility with the operating system? and install the correct driver?

Check also the USB cable and make sure you are using a USB cable port?

The printer is not printing any document


Please check

1. Do you have a printer cable failure?

The printer will not be printing if its not connected to the computer. Check that the printer cable connecting your printer to the computer is firmly attached at both ends. Apart from this cable, there should be one more cable which is the one connecting to the wall outlet.

2. In case it still not work after checking try resetting and printing.

3. Else please change the Data Cable if it is very old one.

Does not print. Has red light

  1. Uninstall the drivers for your printer completely from add or remove programs.
  2. Unplug the cable from your computer connected to printer.
  3. Re-install the drivers using printer disc
  4. It will ask you to connect your printer while installing drivers so connect the cable.
  5. After drivers are installed try to print.

Keeps printing same doc. how do I clear it?????


you need to unplug your data cable which is connected from computer to printer, which is USB cable,
try this to clear all the print,

step 1. turn off your printer,
step 2. unplug the USB cable from your computer,
step 3. you can see at the taskbar near clock, printer image right click on that and and click stop printing,
and wait till clear all the prints from your computer then plug back your USB cable which is data cable and start using your printer again

What are my options to configure Canon i850 for wireless printing


I looked at the specs of you printer and it does not support ethernet/ wireless connectivity your best bet would be to connect your printer to your router with usb cable that's if your router supports it else you can buy what they call a wireless print server and connect wirelesly to your router or pc

Printer is connected but does not print

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the following things first---
· The printer cover is closed and the rear access door or optional duplexer is attached.
· The printer is connected to the power source and turned on.
· The cable connections are secure and the cartridges are correctly installed.
· The paper or other media is correctly loaded in the in tray.
Now check the printer cable connection: If the printer cable is attached to a USB hub, a printing conflict might exist. Use one of the following methods to resolve the conflict:
· Attach the printer USB cable directly to your computer.
· When printing, do not use other USB devices that are attached to the hub.
Now verify if the printer is connected to the correct USB port: If the computer is configured to use both the back and front USB ports on the printer, then you might be printing to the wrong port. The computer has two versions of the printer driver: one for the front USB port and one for the back USB port. If you are connected to the back USB port, but select the printer driver that is associated with the front USB port, the printer will not print. In the application that you are printing from, click File and then click Print. The Print dialog box opens. The Print dialog box displays two versions of the printer driver. Select the version that is associated with the port to which you are printing. The issue will be resolved.

The formatter has failed. Replace the formatter.

My HP LaserJet 6L Won't Print on new HP/Vista PC

Use any printer parallel 25pin convertor to USB cable and connect it to pc or notebook
Connect both ends from pc to 6L printer
Go to website to choose the correct O/S driver for installation
Use virtual USB port005 for printer 6L
Bi-directional option can be ticked
Click apply and ok
Unplug and replug the USB cable
Try printing a test page,
