I have an Acer Travelmate 4060 laptop which i used for along time without any problems ... but all of a sudden when i boot up it asks for a password and so wont boot to windows . I did not put a password on the machine and im pretty sure nobody else has without my knowledge. Is there anyway to bypass this password or to reset it . Thanks

U sure it's u're laptop !?!?!!!?! hmmm
If the password is on the bios, than open the case, find the bios reset pin and short it (or remove the bios batery for 5 sec. ), if the password is on the disk drive(implemented throw bios), than is nothing u can do !!!! (exept go to the laptops manufacurer and pay(a lot) him to remove the password !)
